Commissioned at Michael Jackson’s request, the V cufflinks are a bespoke reinterpretation of a form he deeply admired, elevated and transformed by the hand of HRH Arfaq. Crafted with architectural precision, they unite a platinum structure with 18-carat gold detailing, each surface set with hand-selected diamonds and sapphires chosen through meticulous calibration.

Their aesthetic reflects Michael’s lifelong fascination with military insignia the symbols of honour, ceremony and power that shaped his stage identity. Arfaq translated this passion into a pair of wearable artefacts that balance regality with restraint, innovation with heritage. Privately acquired by Michael Jackson in Bucharest in November 1996, they went on to achieve global recognition as the world’s most expensive cufflinks, not simply for their precious materials, but for the story and collaboration they represent.
