HRH ARFAQ
SUSTAINABILITY STATEMENT 2026
2026 FINANCIAL YEAR
INTRODUCTION
At HRH Arfaq Ltd., sustainability is not a corporate obligation it is a natural extension of our belief in craftsmanship, beauty, and legacy. As a house rooted in bespoke creation and artistic excellence, we recognise that true luxury must also be responsible. Our commitment extends beyond the materials we select; it encompasses the people we work with, the communities we touch, and the environmental footprint we leave behind.
This 2026 Sustainability Statement outlines our environmental, social and ethical priorities across the HRH Arfaq ecosystem from atelier to atelier, from the origins of our ingredients to the individuals who embody the spirit of our work. It reflects our evolving vision for a future where heritage, innovation and integrity converge.
1. OUR ENVIRONMENTAL APPROACH
Sustainable Sourcing
We are rigorous in our approach to sourcing materials. In 2026, over 85% of all fabrics used in HRH Arfaq bespoke pieces were either GOTS-certified organic, upcycled, or sourced from regenerative suppliers. Our exotic materials policy reviewed annually ensures full compliance with CITES and emphasises traceability and animal welfare.
For our perfumery division, 100% of natural ingredients were sourced from audited partners, many of whom hold Fair For Life or Ecocert certifications. Where possible, we have partnered with local agricultural cooperatives to support biodiversity and reduce transportation emissions.
Reducing Waste
In the atelier, waste is treated as an opportunity. All offcuts and excess material are reused for limited capsule collections or donated to design schools and charitable textile projects. Our packaging has transitioned to FSC-certified paper and biodegradable film wraps, and we have removed plastic from over 95% of outer product packaging.
Emissions and Energy
All HRH Arfaq operations in the UK, France, and UAE are now powered by 80% renewable energy. We continue to offset our limited emissions through nature-based solutions, but our long-term aim remains radical minimisation at source.
2. SOCIAL RESPONSIBILITY
Supporting Artisans
At the heart of our house are the skilled artisans whose hands realise the impossible. We support independent craftspeople and small-batch workshops in the UK, Italy, and India. In 2026, we launched the “Arfaq Craft Fellowship” to preserve endangered artisanal techniques, offering financial grants and mentorship to 18 emerging makers.
Workplace Culture
We are proud of a culture defined by dignity, safety, and opportunity. All HRH Arfaq employees are paid at least the living wage in their region. In 2026, we introduced a flexible working model to support work-life balance across all departments. Our in-house training programme—‘The Atelier Academy’—has expanded to include courses in ethical leadership, cultural sensitivity and sustainable product development.
Diversity and Inclusion
HRH Arfaq is built on the power of difference. In 2026, 48% of our leadership team identified as women, and 35% came from minority ethnic backgrounds. We launched a supplier diversity programme to encourage engagement with underrepresented businesses across our supply chain.
3. ETHICAL GOVERNANCE
Transparency and Accountability
We maintain stringent governance standards and internal audit controls to ensure our values are upheld. In 2026, we implemented a formal ESG oversight framework. This group reviews and evaluates our environmental and social performance quarterly.
Code of Conduct
All employees and suppliers are bound by the HRH Arfaq Code of Conduct, which sets clear standards for anti-corruption, human rights, responsible sourcing and environmental compliance. Any violations are investigated through our whistleblower mechanism, and all suppliers are subject to annual review.
4. COMMUNITY AND CULTURAL IMPACT
We believe that luxury should contribute meaningfully to the communities it emerges from. In 2026, we donated 2.5% of net profits to cultural preservation and social upliftment projects in Pakistan, the UK, and Sub-Saharan Africa. Initiatives included:
-
Restoration of a Mughal-era textiles archive in Lahore
-
Sponsorship of mental health and homelessness outreach programmes in West Yorkshire
-
Creative mentorship schemes for underprivileged youth in partnership with London arts institutions
5. FUTURE GOALS
By 2030, HRH Arfaq aims to:
-
Achieve full traceability for all raw materials used in fashion and perfume collections
-
Become net zero
-
Transition to entirely circular packaging
-
Establish permanent social enterprise collaborations in garment production
-
Expand our Craft Fellowship to 50 artisans globally
CONCLUSION
Sustainability at HRH Arfaq is not an initiative—it is a mindset. We design for eternity, and with that comes a duty to the future. This statement is not a conclusion but a commitment to continue questioning, evolving and leading with purpose.
