Cultivated by the master perfumer, HRH Arfaq, the rose was named in honour of Jennifer, a woman whose smile and quiet presence became etched in his memory like fragrance on the skin.
At the precise moment of the break of dawn, this bespoke rose is harvested, untouched by human hands throughout its entire journey, as Arfaq believes the temperature of one’s hands can disturb the equilibrium of the petals.
Its essence is extracted as a pure oil using his state-of-the-art wind system, which he developed and perfected over a five-year period. The finished oil holds a richness and depth beyond measure, with incredibly intense notes that are breathtakingly harmonious.
CRAFTED BY AGE
This pure oil is distilled for over a year before being introduced to the oil of another noble rose, the Pierre de Ronsard (Eden Rose), in a blend meticulously conducted under strict seasonal conditions in the deserts of Egypt.
THE MARRIAGE
This begins The Marriage, where the blended oil is then further enhanced with the essence of the legendary Damascus Rose, cultivated for over 3,000 years and long revered as the soul of perfumery.
Although this complex oil has over 300 components, after its ageing process, Arfaq masterfully blends the aged oil into the perfume.
Once in bloom, the Damascus Rose offers only a brief and sacred window for harvest. It is delicately picked at the time of Fajr, the Islamic dawn prayer, the moment when its oil concentration reaches its zenith.
Over 5,000 Jasmin flowers are required to produce just one kilo of this precious oil. After more than a year of aging, this oil is folded gently into the composition.
THE ORCHESTRA
Once the balance has been perfectly aligned, Arfaq introduces the orchestra, with the essence of Roman Chamomile and Egyptian Geranium in extravagant proportions.
Then comes the finale: a bold infusion of Himalayan White Musk. Finally, the heart of this mystical fragrance beats with the luminous, enduring grace of Jasmine Absolute (Grandiflorum).
